HUGE Drugstore Beauty Haul | June 2014

Hi guys, I may or may not have gone to the drugstore and got a ton of new products. The drugstore has been releasing some limited edition collections and I had a coupon for 20% your entire purchase so you I had to take advantage of that.

Clean & Clear was having a buy 1 get 1 50% sale on their Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer. This is my favorite moisturizer for in the morning time because it really gives u a little boost of energy especially if your getting up early for school.

The main product I was on the hunt for were the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains. Their was a wide color selection and I was so tempted to get more then one color but I took a chill pill and ended up just getting one. The color I got is called London Posh and it's more of a coral nude but I have not tried this on my lips yet so when I do I will report back to you guys.

In November of 2013 Maybelline released their fall collection called Gilded in Gold and they came out with 3 limited edition matte color which my drugstore never brought out. I was so annoyed and finally 6 months later I found them. Through out this haul you will see I went a little crazy on the Maybelline products but they have just came out with a ton of new things.

The only other thing I got from that Maybelline collection was a blush in the color Bronze Tapestry. Right off the bat I can tell that this blush has some shimmer in it so if u don't like shimmer blushes then I probably wouldn't recommended it for you.

In my everyday look I don't typically wear eyeliner but I feel like everyone else but me can do liquid eyeliner so I got 2 different kinds. The first one I got has more of a felt tip applicator and it's from Rimmel. I got to say that I am in love with liner. It creates a clean, thin liner for your upper lash line and a nice thin wing.

Staying on the topic of eyeliners I also got the Milani Ultra Fine Liquid Eye Liner. I have definitely found that this one is 10 times more harder to apply then the Rimmel one. Basically by the time I was finished doing my eyeliner I looked like a raccoon who had not slept in 10 days. OOPS!!

One of my all time favorite things from the drugstore are my Neutrogena Makeup Remover wipes. They have I believe 4 different kinds of these makeup wipes but my favorite is Hydrating. It seems that everytime I go to the drugstore I have to pick up at least 2 packs of them.

I'm that kind of person that sticks with the same mascara. So I decided to branch out and try the L'oreal Butterfly mascara. The wand reminds me of a butterfly wing because at the end it fans into a point so your outer lashes "should" go up.

Maybelline has a new collection out called Bleached Neons and I thought I would not be very interested in it because I am more of a neutrals girl. The only thing I got from that collection was the limited edition blush stick Enchanting Apricot. It might seem a little bright but once u blend it out so gorgeous.

Also from Maybelline I got 2 Color Elixirs. These are my favorite lip glosses from the drugstore and of course I had to add more to my collection because you can never have to many. The packaging makes it look like it's a lipstick which looks really cool on your vanity.

The last thing I got from Maybelline and in this haul was 2 of their single eyeshadows. When I was in Walmart a couple weeks back I saw this single eyeshadow in Nude Glow but I held myself back but that I couldn't resist. They were also having a sale so I picked up another one.

Perfect Palette TAG!!

Hi guys, I have been obsessed with watching Essiebutton on youtube and I noticed that a couple months ago she did a video called the Perfect Palette TAG!! I think this tag is perfect if you want to start getting more palettes and you can find out which ones to stay away from so lets get started.

1. Best Packaging: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
Hands down, the best packaging has to go to the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. I'm a total sucker for anything rose gold and the Naked 3 Palettte is perfection. Not to mention the colors are so pigmented and it's all pink - neutral toned eyeshadows.

2. Best Color Payoff: My Inglot Palette
When I was in New York I went to the Inglot Store and I was so impressed by how pigmented the colors were. From the lightest to the darkest color they are so smooth and little to no fall out.

3. Most Versatile: Lorac Pro Palette
The Lorac Pro Palette is the most versatile because the top row is all matte and the bottom row is all shimmer. You can create a really dark, dramatic smokey eye look but on the other hand you can create a neutral, everyday look which I prefer.

4. Best for Traveling: Marc Jacobs The Lolita Palette
The main reason I picked this palette was because it comes in a little poach. It protects the palette from moving around in your makeup bag and opening up. Also it has neutral eyeshadows so plus a matte grey if you want to do a smokey eye.

5. Biggest Regret: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
My #1 biggest regret is the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. To start off with 3 of the eyeshadows unglued from bottom and completely fell out of the palette. 2nd, the eyeshadows are mainly all shimmer  minus the matte black eyeshadow.

6. Best Color Names: Lorac Unzipped Palette
The names of the eyeshadows all start with un. The palette is called Unzipped so each eyeshadow starts with un like Undercover, Untamed, and Undiscovered. Plus it has a matte highlight color perfect for the brow bone.

7. Least Used: Urban Decay Smoked Palette
I definitly neglect my Urban Decay Smoked Palette. As you should know, I love neutrals and the Smoked Palette has mainly colored eyeshadows. I'm hoping in the summer time I can try to use more colored shadows but then again there is neutrals.

8. Most Used: It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette
Usually I wear matte eyeshadows because I prefer dewy skin so the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette is perfect for me. On the end there is a color called Transforming Pearl which will make the eyeshadows shimmer if you want them to. I would say that I have been using this palette almost every single day since I got it.

9. Most Loved: Urban Decay Naked Palette
My first palette in my collection was the Urban Decay Naked Palette and I have been in love with it ever since. I also got the eyeliner that goes with it and they 2 combined are amazing. Not to mention the color Sin is one of my favorite eyeshadows.

10. Desert Island: Elf 32 Piece Palette in Natural
If I had to bring one palette to a desert island it would have to be my Elf Natural Palette. There is a mixture of matte, satin, and shimmer. Also you can create a dramatic look or a neutral look. If you guys have any request for some different blog post leave a comment below.

May Beauty Favorites 2014

Hey guys, I have been obsessed with a ton of things beauty related this month and I wanted to share them with you. Also kind of a random favorite is hashtags. Everytime I'm around my family or friends randomly I will just say a hashtag like hashtag hungry and it's so funny. It might sound a little weird but trust me it's hilarious.

My first beauty favorite  is from the drugstore. It's a Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Lemonade. It's the perfect throw in your bag lip product and if your a teenager like me perfect for school. On the lips, it has the perfect light wash of pink and it has been my go-to lip product this month.

The only other drugstore favorite I have is the Elf Natural Eyeshadow Palette. In one of my recent blog posts I did an entire review on this palette and swatches so if you missed it go check it out. This has been the only eyeshadow I used this entire month.

If you had to get one high end face product I would definitely recommend this to you. It's the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream in Medium. One of my favorite things about this product is that you can make it look natural or build it up if you want more coverage. Overall this product is #amazing.

Whenever I wear a foundation or CC Cream I have to set it with powder. My favorite powder of all time is the Mac MSF Natural in Medium Plus. This powder adds just a little coverage and you can also use this as a powder foundation with just a little concealer and your good to go.

Last month I did an Ulta Haul and I included the Too Faced Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer. I have been using this bronzer since the day I got it and I'm obsessed with it. It's perfect because there are 2 different colors so you can mix them together or use the two colors on their own which helps you create the perfect shade for your skin.

My last favorite for the month of May is my Mac Paint Pot in Painterly. This is one of the only eyeshadows primers I use because it covers any redness on your eye lid and leaves with a even base. If you pick any of these products up I can promise you will not regret it. What r your favorites for this month?
            Love,
                      Lexi

My Top 5 Nude Lip Glosses

Hey guys, I wanted to share with you My Top 5 Nude Lip Glosses. Don't get me wrong I have way more then 5 lip glosses but these are the ones I would repurchase first.

My first gloss is from the drugstore. About a year ago, NYX released a line called Butter Glosses and they r around $5. If you have an Ulta near u, they are by 1 get one 50% off. The range of colors in the collection are amazing, from nudes, to reds, and even some dark purples.

I would describe the color as a pinky/mauve nude or just the perfect nude. The texture is super creamy and pigmented so know I basically want all of the other nude colors. Oopps!!

This next lip gloss is also from the drugstore. Milani released these new Brilliant Shine lip glosses for Spring 2014. This gloss does have a thicker constantly on the lips so that is something that could be a turn off for you.

If your looking for the perfect nude gloss then this is it. I find myself just throwing this lip gloss in my bag and walking out the door. My only con with the product is I wish Milani would come out with more nude colors.

My last 2 glosses are apart of the Maybelline Elixir line. This color is Limited Edition but I am almost positive that you can still find it at your drugstores.

This lip gloss is a light warm brown color and has no shimmer in it. It's perfect for layering on top of something or just wearing it by itself. This lip gloss is overall #great.

My last drugstore lip gloss in also apart of the Maybelline Elixir line in the color Gleaming Gold. This color is also limited edition.

This is more of a topper. It adds just a little shine or shimmer to your lips but nothing crazy. Definitely think everyone needs this kind of gloss in their collection.

I know you might think that you would never spend the money on a Dior gloss but they r worth every penny of it. The applicator reminds me of a small thin brush, like your painting on your lips. It's gorgeous for the summer because it's a little rosy bronze color on the lips.

My last lip gloss is from MAC. It was apart of the limited edition Alluring Aquatic Collection. My last blog post was on this entire collection so if you missed it you should go check it out.

You can pair this with any nude or neutral lipstick and it would look gorgeous. In the comments tell me ur favorite nude lip gloss and I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post.
                                                                                                             Love,

MAC Alluring Aquatic Summer 2014 Collection

Hey guys, every year MAC releases a summer collection and when I saw the packaging this year I was all over it. The name of the collection is Alluring Aquatic. I would describe the packaging as being turquoise with a 3-D water droplet effect. Also everything including the packaging is limited edition.

The first 2 things I had to get were the Extra Dimension Eyeshadows. In total there are 6 colors and the 2 that I got were Lorelei and Soul Serenade. One thing that I didn't realize was that the shadows are mini sized and they are each $19.50.
L - R: Soul Serenade and Lorelei
I would describe Soul Serenade as a deep plum brown and Lorelei as a golden beige. These colors are very creamy and very pigmented. I used Lorelei yesterday for the first time with a medium- toned brown in the crease and it was such a gorgeous natural look.

One of the things on my checklist were the lipsticks. In total there are 5 lipsticks and there is a mixture between matte, cremesheen, and frost. Each lipstick is $17.50. We need to take a moment and just look at the packaging, #amazing.

The color that I got is Pet Me, Please. I know this lipstick might look a little crazy and out there but it's gorgeous. This lipstick is a frost so as you can see from the swatch it does have a sheen to it. The only other lipstick I really want to get my hands on is Enchanted One which is a matte neutral pink color.

The only other lip product I got was a Tinted Lipglass in Water Deities. There are 5 colors total and the only thing I'm not sure of is that the gloss is thick because you have to kind of wiggle it slowly out because if not it feels like it will go everywhere.

Each gloss is $16.50. These glosses are super creamy and my favorite thing about them are that you can layer them on top of a lipstick or just wear them by itself. I would describe this color as a light bronzy pink with little shimmers in it.

The last 2 things I got are for the cheeks. MAC came out with 2 Extra Dimension Blushes and the colors are very similar. Each blush is $27.50.

I would describe this blush as a mid-tone neutral plum. I love the design imprint in the blush with the wave and you can feel the texture too. The only thing about this blush is that it is very sheer, in the swatch I had to build it up so you could see it.

The last thing I got from the collection was one of the Extra Dimension Bronzer in Aphrodite's Shell. When I got this in the mall I was surprised by how big the bronzer was. These bronzers are $33 each and come in 2 different colors.

One thing I have to say about this bronzer is that it is light. If your going to bronze up the skin then this is perfect but if you want to contour then the darker color is better for you. On the scheduled delivery day all I did was sit by the door and wait for the big brown truck to drive up. I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and got some ideas on what products you want to pick up.
