My Nighttime Skincare Routine

Hey guys, recently my skin has been having kind o f a problem season. Since I have been having a few more breakouts then usually I switched out some products in my Nighttime Skincare Routine.

The first thing I do is take off all my makeup with my Clean and Clear Night Relaxing cleansing wipes. Clean and Clear recently came out with these and they are amazing. You get 25 wipes but they are a good size. They have a slight smell but nothing that I think is overbearing.
The next thing I do is wash my face. I got the matching Night Relaxing deep cleaning face wash from Clean and Clear. I love this face mainly because sometimes I have a hard time sleeping or going to sleep really late but in this face wash it was a certain ingredient which makes your body relax and ready for bed.
Most days I will tone my face and make sure my face wash got everything off with my Clean and Clear essentials deep cleaning toner. One of my biggest problems with this is it to drys out your face because of the acne medication in it. Also if you have never used a toner before and don't have breakout I would definitely say get a alcohol free one.
The last thing I do is use my Clean and Clear dual action moisturizer. One thing about this moisturizer is that it could be  a little lite and if you use this after the toner I think you might have to put a little more on the areas where you get dry.
If I have extra time I will put on my Olay Total Effects eye cream.  I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and get some ideas on what new skincare products you might get when you run out of something. Don't forget to always come and check back because this week I'm leaving to New York and have some really interesting blog posts coming up.

My Favorite Candles For Spring 2014

Hey guys, since Spring is quickly approaching I thought I would share my favorite candles for Spring and just as I warning all of my candles are from Bath and Body Works because thats my favorite place to get candles.
Hawaiian Hibiscus
One of most recent candle purchases is Hawaiian Hibiscus. For me the name says it all. Whenever I smell it I think of sitting on the beach, while the palm trees are swaying and listening to the water on the beach.
Mahogany Teakwood
Mahogany Teakwood is one of my go to candles because it reminds me of my dad's cologne. Bath and Body Works describes the scent as a cozy wood fragrance with a slight hint of sweet lavender or it just smells like Abercrombie & Fitch.
Frosted Cupcake
If your a food lover especially with deserts then you need Frosted Cupcake. It smells like rich buttercream frosting mixed with cake batter. So basically your room or house could smell like cupcakes when  your trying to eat healthy.
Honeysuckle Bouquet
Honeysuckle Bouquet is the perfect candle for spring. Its a mix between sweet honeysuckle and a creamy blend of vanilla.
Raspberry Peach Macaron
Bath and Body Works describes Raspberry Peach Macaron as the ultimate french cookie mixed with ripe raspberries, juicy peach and almond cream but for me I just call it Heaven. If you guys liked any of the candles I showed, you should defiantly go smell them at Bath and Body Works. I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and I will talk to you soon.

My Foundation Routine for Spring 2014

Hey guys, today I wanted to tell you guys what products I use in my current foundation routine for a natural look. Usually I will wear my Elf Bb Cream but for those days when I won't be touching up I like to wear foundation.
Benefit The POREfessional
1st thing is primer.  The Benefit POREfessional has always been one of my go to high-end primers. Recently I've found a drugstore dupe for the primer which I will talk more about in a future blog post.
Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow
Next is foundation.  If your like me and like a natural looking foundation then the Hello Flawless is the perfect one for you. It's perfect for people with dry to normal skin because it's moisturizing.  My favorite way to apply it is with the Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki brush.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind
If I have a little extra time I will use the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in the Brighting shade. I mainly use it for highlighting my cheekbones and a little done the center of my nose. Sometimes I will use the Sigma F86 Tapered Kabuki brush or a damp beauty blender.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural
The last thing that I do is set everything with my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in medium plus. My favorite brush to use is the Sigma F30 Large Powder brush. One of my biggest tips  to make sure that your face does look natural is put a thin layer of your foundation, concealer, and powder. Let me know what products are in your current foundation routine in the comments below.

Introduction + Maybelline Baby Lips: Review + Swatches

Hey guys, my name is Alexis and I love anything beauty and fashion related. Like if you took me into Ulta or Sephora it would be bad to say the least. Since Spring and Summer is right around the corner most girls like to just have a hint of color on their lips and the Maybelline Baby Lips is the perfect drugstore option.
Quenched, Peach Kiss, Cherry Me, Pink Punch

One of my favorite things about the Baby Lips is that they smell amazing!! Cherry Me would probably be my favorite because it smells exactly like  cherries and when you lick your lips it evens taste like you just had a cherry.
Quenched, Cherry Me, Peach Kiss, Pink Punch

The Baby Lips are probably one of the best moisturizing lip balms at the drugstore.
Grape Vine, Coral Crush, Pink Me Up, Berry Soft
Grape Vine is definitely a drugstore dupe for Rebel from MAC. The only difference is that its just a little wash of color not a full on dark lipstick.
Grape Vine, Coral Crush, Pink Me Up, Berry Soft

The Maybelline Baby Lips are around $2.97 but it depends at what drugstore you get them at. Lets have a chit chat in the comments about our my favorite lip balm. It can be drugstore or high end it doesn't matter.
Love,
          Alexis
